The client required a tool that accessed an existing SQL database. Originally conceived as a supply requisition browser, it developed into a micro project-tracking application. A client-side admin element was also developed to manage projects and tool display settings. Features include: - Requisition lookup filtered by multiple criteria - Map view with project locations - LTM graphs for project data - Responsive design for tablets and phones - Admin portal includes document upload and account management Metrics are being tabulated monthly via automated scripts developed during the project.
A full-cycle application development project for Android and iOS. Rekonn is a location-based alerts platform for phones and tablets. The application sends Android / iOS push notifications for upcoming music events in the user's area. Other Features include: - User account creation / management - Account-based event creation process - Parsed Wikipedia data for band bios - Push notifications for new tour additions - Search North America and Europe - Google Maps integration for directions - Worldwide Festival list with scheduled bands - Rating / review prompt system A custom backend was built to manage and monitor activity. The app was required to include all functionality present on the web version of MotorMeet. MotorMeet App A local law firm required an integrated management and search application for their existing and past cases. The application logs user-based searches and case views. Other Features include: - One page AJAX-based application - Full update functionality w/passcode authentication - Collapsible search element - Dynamic status graphics - QuickLink capability for all cases
A full-cycle application development project. NIST in Gaithersburg, MD required a one-page system for managing and searching an evolving dataset from carbon capture experiments. On-site and phone meetings were conducted to gather the application requirements. A password-protected area was built to upload and edit information on the published papers. Another task required building a bulk upload module for the captured data (single JSON files). Both upload modules perform several rounds of validation before confirming upload. The admin portion also includes an account management section. An advanced search program was built to search against the data. Returned data can be plotted on a graph for comparison. Full development responsibilities on the project also required that supporting documentation be submitted.
Full-cycle development for a social networking platform. Ashburn, VA based MotorMeet is an all-inclusive resource for auto enthusiasts. The site allows you to connect and share your rides with others across the country. Users are also able to create a "Cruise" from one location to another and invite users to join. Other Features include: - Record board for 1/4 mile times. Confirmed only with track slip upload. - User activity feed - Search and rate shops in your area. - Classifieds section to connect buyers and sellers. - "Crews" on the site connect up to 20 users. - Head-to-head "Challenges" at local racetracks. Connecting to the NIST dataset, this search was built to browse raw DOI publications and related content. The results are paginated using AJAX. The page was built with a custom, responsive layout for mobile devices.

Apart from work, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. Included on my bucket list are thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail and also completing Hadrian’s Wall Path in the UK. When indoors, I am a big fan of sci-fi, neo-noir & neo-western movies. I also tinker with audio, video and random DIY projects.
